9 Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Henderson, NV

Henderson is a popular city for those who reside in the Las Vegas area year-round. Located directly southeast of Sin City, Henderson real estate is a charming place to live while still being close to the Strip. As such, plenty of dog owners are searching for dog-friendly restaurants in Henderson, NV.

Like most major American cities, Henderson has no shortage of eateries that welcome dogs. Here are our favorite dog-friendly restaurants in Henderson, NV:

BISCUITS AND BOURBON

109 S WATER ST, HENDERSON, NV 89015
Biscuits and Bourbon is an excellent place to bring your pup. The restaurant is known for its comfortable and laid-back atmosphere, and all friendly dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio.

As you may expect from the name, Biscuits and Bourbon specializes in Southern comfort food. Popular entrees include the pulled pork sandwich, pork belly burnt ends, tri-tip, and apple bacon biscuits. Of course, no southern restaurant is complete without having fantastic pecan pie, and Biscuits and Bourbon delivers.

While they have a great dinner menu, their breakfast offerings shouldn’t be overlooked. The restaurant offers a fantastic bacon and Gouda biscuit sandwich.  Should you want a more traditional southern offering, you can choose the classic biscuits and gravy or fried chicken and waffle. Biscuit bundles are available if you want to take any home.

Biscuits and Bourbon is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Dog

LAZY DOG

6509 S LAS VEGAS BLVD, LAS VEGAS, NV 89119
While technically located in the Town Square of Las Vegas, Lazy Dog goes above and beyond for our four-legged friends. Dogs are welcome on the patio, and the restaurant even has a dedicated menu section for dogs. Patrons can choose between the Grilled Chicken Bowl or Beef Bowl. Both are served on top of a bed of brown rice, which is great for a dog’s digestive system. If you really want to go all out for your pup, you can even buy the “Pepper’s Play Pack.” This is a curated box of treats and toys hand selected by Lazy Dog’s in-house canineologist.

Lazy Dog certainly goes out of its way for our furry friends, but its human menu is also excellent. The restaurant serves American food with modern innovative twists. There is also a noticeable Asian influence on the menu. Perhaps their most popular dish is the Campfire Pot Roast. It is served on a bed of buttery mashed potatoes topped with a creamy and hearty gravy.

Like most restaurants, Lazy Dog had to adapt during the pandemic. They did this by offering “TV Dinners” for delivery and to-go. Unlike the TV dinners we’re familiar with, Lazy Dog utilized their culinary excellence to master the TV dinner. They have become so popular as a to-go option that they will probably become a permanent fixture on the menu.

Lazy Dog is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to midnight and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to midnight.

SCRAMBLED

2645 ST ROSE PKWY SUITE 170, HENDERSON, NV 89052
Located near Cactus Wren Park, Scrambled is a popular breakfast spot. The company subscribes to the idea that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, both for humans and dogs. The restaurant has an outdoor seating area where dogs are allowed. Being so close to Cactus Wren Park, it is a great place to take Fido for a stroll and then go get some breakfast.

The menu at Scrambled offers a mix of traditional continental breakfast options and Tex Mex. There are dedicated sections for benedicts, omelets, breakfast bowls, French toast, and more.

Scrambled is open seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

SHAKESPEARE’S GRILLE & PUB

790 CORONADO CENTER DR. STE 130, HENDERSON, NV 89052
Shakespeare’s Grill and Pub is one of the most popular places in Henderson to enjoy English and Scottish culinary treats. Best of all, dogs are welcome on the restaurant’s patio. Drinking bowls are available on request.

While the menu focuses on British food, you’re sure to find other food offerings from around the world. This includes Poutine, Quesadillas, and Buffalo Cauliflower Bites. Of course, there is plenty of authentic British food to be enjoyed. We recommend the Cottage Pie or Bangers & Mash. The restaurant frequently holds special nightly events, such as karaoke and trivia night.

The pub is open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. every day.

GOLD MINE TAVERN

23 S WATER ST, HENDERSON, NV 89015
Gold Mine Tavern is located in Downtown Henderson in the Water Street District and is an excellent location to bring Fido. There is a private patio area that is well-shaded, making it a comfortable spot to dine out with your pup. Unlike other restaurants on this list, Gold Mine Tavern will even bring a snack for your puppy. This usually entails a bowl of rice topped with a burger patty. Drinking bowls are also available.

Gold Mine could be described as more of a bar than a restaurant. While there are food options, this is more of a place to unwind with a libation as opposed to trying the latest culinary trends. Most nights have live music, making it a great spot to enjoy the nightlife with your dog. The tavern is open 24 hours a day, every day, perfect for late-night meals.

KING’S FISH HOUSE

2255 VILLAGE WALK DR #139, HENDERSON, NV 89052
Located just off of I-215 is King’s Fish House. This restaurant probably has the most comfortable patio, and dogs are more than welcome. As their name implies, King’s Fish House is a place for seafood lovers. They offer a wide range of options, including live Maine lobster, oysters, a raw bar, BBQ shrimp, Maryland crab cakes, and plenty of seasonal offerings. The restaurant owners aim to provide a “seafood road trip” on their menu. The only downside is that there are only six patio tables. It is recommended to call in advance to make sure there is room for your dog.

The restaurant is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday and Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

CRAFT KITCHEN

10940 S EASTERN AVE STE 107, HENDERSON, NV 89052
Located near the Seven Hills neighborhood, Craft Kitchen incorporates the latest culinary trends. Patrons can enjoy short rib hash, turkey burgers, citrus and crab salad, and Korean shrimp tacos. The kitchen is helmed by Chef Jaret, who apprenticed at several Ritz-Carlton hotels. Nearly every ingredient on the menu is locally sourced and organic.

Best of all, dogs are welcome in the outdoor area. Chef Jaret is very much a family man who considers dogs part of the family. The restaurant is open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

SKINNYFATS

140 S GREEN VALLEY PKWY STE.140, HENDERSON, NV 89012
SkinnyFats has emerged as one of the trendiest eateries in Henderson. While dogs are welcome in the outdoor area, orders must be placed inside. Nonetheless, the restaurant is worth a visit if your pup can tolerate being alone while you order.

SkinnyFats serves new American fare. Their menu is as divided as their name: every section is divided into two parts: “Healthy” and “Happy.” Everything in the healthy section is 600 calories or less. Some of the more popular healthy options include avocado toast, shaved steak, teriyaki ahi, and turnip tacos. If you’re looking to indulge, happy options include a bacon and egg burger, a chicken parm sandwich, and a shrimp tacodilla.

No matter which section you order from, you are in for a delightful tasting experience. Skinny Fats has become so successful that they now have multiple locations in Nevada and Utah. The Henderson location is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
